Standard Time has a value system...
Why would you trick yourself by moving the clock around all to save money? It is like putting a $100 bucks from one savings account to another every 6 months or so. How crazy is that? Especially trying to earn a bit of interest!

Repeal the move to daylight savings in Indiana
The very last and very weak foundation for the push to daylight savings fell as the Federal Trade Commission says it cannot get involved settling which counties should be Central or Eastern for the intire state of Indiana.
The main focus for Indiana is to stay together. Daylight savings was pushing communities further and further apart.
Put Standard Time back in the state of Indiana. You must fight together. Contact your mayors and your state officials.

the Russell Crowe Factor
Lets go back to June 2005 in New York where Russell Crowe threw a phone at a hotel clerk because he could not get through to his wife downunder in Australia. I am not condoning uncontrollable rage, but I am asking you to wear Russell's watch.
New York Time in June is Eastern Daylight Time. Sydney Time in June because it is winter is Standard Time. Now lets go through a typical day if you are in the US and your loved one is in Australia. When you are waking up on the east coast of the US. The Australians are putting the finishing touches on the day you are just beginning and off to bed they go as you are hurrying off to work or school. They are sleeping as you are working. When you go home from work, the Australians are beginning a new day. As you are finishing your day, they are eating their noon meal. The cycle continues. Finding time to connect with your loved one means there are going to be sacrifices made.
Sure now days are other means of checking in with your loved one like txt or emailing. Not the same though if you are really wanting to connect. Nothing like hearing your loved one's voice or your child's loving squeal of delight to chatter with you over some matter of the day. So try wearing Russell's watch before making a judgement.
Russell's watch runs mainly from the Southern Hemisphere. His work in the Movies mainly runs on Northern Hemisphere time. The Southern Hemisphere's seasons are opposite of the Northern Hemisphere. Putting this to Time, means that it runs from a 15 hour time difference to a 17 hour time difference when you are talking from Australia to the US . So when the time changes you are calculating from one hour to two hours depending which season you are in from one hemisphere to the other.
Confused? Well, all I hear is how good daylight savings is for business, but when you put on another's watch and really live in that time struggle, you see how crazy a notion daylight savings is. Nothing is saved but more chaos in family life as well as business life.

Indiana's governor has a nickname given to him by Pres. Bush. A nickname one should not treasure. 'Blade' worked for Pres. Bush on the budget. Then he ran for governor in 2004. His canpaign covered up the his blade-like tactics. Now Indiana is left bleeding from all the in-fighting from the republicans and democrats all the way down to the towns and communities.
This is an expose on Mitch Daniels and his canpaign. May your eyes be open. May you find fire in the pit of your stomach. May you learn from Indiana's mistakes.
'Blade' paraded around in a painted up RV going around to all counties of Indiana to talk to the locals and get their prespective of the governor's job. He called it his job interview. Sounds all good, right? You never got a sence of who he was on a personal level. You never saw his kids or his wife. One has got to see what kind of man you are and how does one know without getting to know the man personally. The only time you saw his wife was upon his winning. Imagine all that time on the road.
How you run a state is personal. The decisions made in the capitol is going to effect the citizen's way of life. One cannot vote on a man who cloaks his personal life. Yet Indiana did. You should hear the squealing now.
Now lets talk about the time. 'Blade' softly spoke of his issue with Indiana's standard time year round. He was ademently opposed and often stated that it would be top on his agenda to push through. Yet as you brought up the topic of standard time many Indiana citizens did not know this adament push for daylight savings.
You should have seen the chaos at the end of every month from February to May 2005. There were major in-fighting between democrats and republicans in both the house of representives and senate. Major push of party agenda. Democrats and republicans both turned a deaf ear to their citizens back home. There was 'blade' behind the scences pushing his new found power to have his way. End of May the vote was half and half until Ulmer went against his word and push the majorty to daylight.
Now the time issue is pushed to the counties deciding if they want to observe Eastern or Central time.
