the question read over the air...

A couple of weeks ago the radio station said to email in questions to as the governor. The interview I don't think went as planed as there were hardly any questions asked. But this morning I woke to this letter being read ...

The question to ask: Do you have the nickname 'blade' from the President?

I am a republican who did not vote for the governor because I saw who he really is. I have lost all pride in my once beloved state of Indiana. I will be making my cuts this coming election especially when Ulmer and Riegsecker who sided with their party leader and failed to listen to their people. Sorry, Ulmer, but I will not stand for the governor's strong tactics.

For the name calling I do not appreciate being called fat (his health incentive) nor stupid (time issue) nor business dumb (toll road). (Who does business with a 75 year give away? How do you keep tabs on how we are being taken care of?)

I believe that the best characteristic for any person is compassion. Traveling in an RV does not mean compassion. Have you ever wondered why you did not see much of his family? I have .... a way to test for the compassion factor.

radio call in ...

A local country station invited the governor to call in and talk about the toll road lease which is a big deal around here as the toll road runs straight through the upper part of Indiana. Around here there are frayed nerves still over the time issue. The radio station opened up the lines for questions.

What you got as you listened was a governor whining like a baby that 'oh, this is the best deal ... more money ... more jobs ... come on can't you see that this will work?' It was sickening to hear a grown man whine! There needs to be more discussion but no he pushes his agenda. He pushed the time issue through the first year. Now he is pushing Major Moves (toll road lease) his second year. This government is not of the people. A republican based state is quickly moving to the other side. People are fed up and the only way to stop it is to put into office the democrats to make him stop or at the very least slow down.

We must be heard!

taking God out of Indiana

It is a ironic to find out that before the minors would go into the Sago Mine, they would gather as a group and say a prayer before entering the mine for their shift.

Today the prayer was skipped before the session began at the Indiana State House because it was found unlawful by the court to use reference to Jesus Christ last month.

This nation was built on God principles. When it is wrong to invite God in this place, you take away the soul's basic right to freedom.

Indiana has chosen to play god with time and now she says God isn't allowed in her business.

cut throat tactics...

Today governor blade sent a letter to the DOT asking for them to revoke St Joe County's plee for central time in order to keep the metro area of South Bend to Goshen on one time. This area needs to be on one time.

St Joe is mad and is calling governor blade crazy for his flip flop behavior as he said he would keep out of this debate between the counties. His behavior was showing itself when he was running for office last year but Indiana turned a blind eye. He went full tilt on the time issue promising that all of Indiana should be central time. Now that he is in office he dropped the case for central time showing he was only using it to get the democrats in St Joe to back him.

When he found his own party not supporting him because our elected officials where doing as the voters requested, he started making phone calls strong arming those he felt where weak. In the wee hours of the night Ulmer backed out of his word to those who put him in office. The reply that Ulmer sent out was that he was supporting his party. What? He is suppose to be our voice to keep those who what to murder our state at bay!

The time issue has been total chaos for full year. You cannot conduct business this way and yet governor blade continues to bring chaos and bitterment to this once beloved state I just to love.

So no matter what it is a loss ...

dot meetings ...

Dept of Transportation set up meetings in four locations around Indiana. I found it disturbing that the government officials still are allowed their voices to be heard. The time issue was taken away from the people by our state govenerment. The citizens of Indiana never got to vote. Our state rep Ulmer went against his own survey and voted against his own people who didn't want to go on daylight savings. We have had a year of disagreement. With this much chaos moving to daylight savings should be scraped.

Logansport, IN
Indiana officials want Indiana to be on one time. DOT said that would be nice but IN cannot seem to make up its mind.

Terra Haute, IN
Indiana should be Central Time.

Jasper, IN
All of Indiana should be Central Time or just stay Standard Time.

South Bend, IN
Basically IN should be on one time. However, here South Bend is trying to pull their weight claiming Elkhart County needs to be Central Time along with South Bend.

South Bend just wants to line up with Chicago who isn't even effected by South Bend. Elkhart County is big on the RV industry and farming. They pull workers from Lagrange and Kosciusko Counties even from MI. Elkhart County is not stupid. Sure we don't want the line between Elkhart and St Joseph Counties but Elkhart County is pretty self sufficiant now with our own resturants and shopping malls. We don't need your Grape Road.

St. Joe County

It is now November and the time debate rages on. The govenor says that it is wrong to put the time zone line between St. Joseph and Elkhart counties and then he says that he isn't going to do anything about it. In his little speech he says it would be great if St. Joseph could get Elkhart county to be central time with them. Come on!

Take a little trip on the west side of St. Joseph. There is a nice buffer zone of farm country. Now go east and you have four major cities running into each other from South Bend to Mishawaka (St. Joe) to Elkhart and to Goshen (Elkhart county).

St. Joe County Commissioners have called Elkhart County 'BABIES' just because they had the guts to tell the bully to just reconsider the idea of choosing Eastern Time.

the education factor ...

Here in Indiana we are teaching our kids that business is much more important than education and it comes from the top with the governor.

For some reason the school lines overlap county lines causing schools to be on different time zones. Plus, the different counties are in the same conference so the sports and arts competition so more time zone issues will arise. The best possible way to solve this educational issue is to keep the time zone on the state border.

Why are we inviting this nightmare into our daily living? Think about your life now and compound it with your work schudule being on one time zone and your kids education on another. Think about the nightmare getting to their games it the competiting school is on another time zone.

St. Joseph County has Notre Dame, IUSB, and Bethal College. With St. Joseph County desperately holding onto the Central Time Zone, they will be surrounded by Eastern Time with Michigan to their north, Elkhart County to their east, and Marshall County to their south. Again we are making the statement that education is secondary to their supposed connection to Chicago rather then to their backdoor neighbors.

Are you going to remember this when it is time to vote? What is more important to you living in daily chaos? or making money? According to the governor we will be better in business. With this mess more money has been wasted than saved.
